Holidays

The following days are some of the prominent or legal holidays of New York State. On most of these holidays, classes are off. Refer to the Binghamton University Calendar to make sure that the classes are off so that you don't miss your classes. Some holidays don't fall on the same date as the current year, except for Independence day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day but they always fall within the same month.

Holidays in January:

New Year's Day

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Holidays in February:

If you celebrate any of these you might feel more connected. The majority of holidays listed here are celebrated across the nation. However, there are other religious holidays our school recognizes: Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, both held in September.
